Der Elektrokonzern hat ein Smartphone mit flexiblem Display angekündigt. So will man an den Erfolg des Galaxy S2 anknüpfen, zudem auch die neue Android 4.0 Version hinzu kommt.
Später sollen auch Tablets und Mobile Internet Devices mit dem neuen Display folgen.
Die AMOLED-Technik ist wahrscheinlich besser für flexible Displays geeignet, da bei ihr keine Hintergrundbeleuchtung nötig ist wie bei einem normalen LCD. Denn dort müssten die Backlights extra biegsam gemacht werden - zu viel Aufwand.
Ob das ganze Smartphone gebogen werden kann, ist noch offen. Vor kurzem hatte Nokia so einen Typ vorgestellt. Auf jeden Fall ist die Technik ein Vorteil, denn sie zeichnet sich vorallem als Schutz vor Erschütterungen aus.
